Santa’s Arrival

Santa is on his way back to the Santa Rosa Mall in Fort Walton Beach and will be arriving at 11 a.m. He will make his first appearance in the Veterans Day Parade and then march through the mall. There will be a Christmas Market, performances and more.

Veterans Day Parade

The Veteran’s Day parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Milton High School. Organizations wishing to participate in the parade are asked to be at Milton High School no later an 8 a.m. Dan Powers will be the contact person for the Memorial at the high school. There will not be an entry fee required for this parade. Contact Vickie Powers at the Santa Rosa County Veterans Memorial Plaza at 850-860-2427 if your organization would like to participate.

Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot

The eighth annual Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot is hosted on Thanksgiving Day to raise awareness for brain cancer research. This is a family fun event with a 200-yard turkey dash for those children under 12 followed by the 5k race. Turkey Dash starts at 8 a.m. and the 5k at 8:30 a.m. at Casino Beach, 735 Pensacola Beach Blvd. Register early at www.imathlete.com.

Zoo lights

Enjoy the beauty of the Gulf Breeze Zoo at night as you admire thousands of sparkling lights Nov. 23-Dec. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. The Elf Parade is a grand kickoff to the 2018 holiday season in downtown Pensacola.
